Arrival at Colombo International airport and meet our representative. You will be transferred to cab and proceed to Kandy. Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was started in 1975 by the Department of Wildlife on a twenty-five-acre coconut property on the Maha Oya River at Rambukkana. The orphanage was primarily designed to afford care and protection to the many baby Elephants found in the jungle without their mothers. In most of these cases, the mother had either died or been killed. In some instances, the baby had fallen into a pit and in others the mother had fallen in and died. After tour check into hotel. After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Nuware Eliya. En-route visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is one of the well preserved botanican garden in entire Srilanka. After that check into hotel. Enjoy the evening at Gregory Park and city tour in Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a city which was once the highland holiday resort of the British. They created quaint little cottages, colorful gardens and large colonial mansions. Their legacy still remains making the city one of the most beautiful in Sri Lanka. After this you will be visiting Lake Gregory.The lake was created by the Governor at the time Sir William Gregory when he had a stream dammed to create more stable land for construction.
