Breakfast
After breakfast in the hotel, we will start our tour by visiting Old Tbilisi. First, we will visit Metekhi, which overlooks Mtkvari River and Meidan Bazaar. Afterwards, we will stroll through Shardeni Street, full of colorful cafes and restaurants. Later, we will walk over the contemporary Bridge of Peace that links the old part of the city to the Rike Park. From the park we will take a cable car to Narikala Fortress and continue walking to the statue of Mother of Georgia.
Soon after, we will descend to Abanotubani, the district of naturally hot sulfur waters, and carry on with a walk to Leghvtakhevi. Shortly after, we will walk to Tbilisi (Juma) Mosque, which is the only mosque where Sunnis and Shias can pray together. Later, we will drive to Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia, and one of the ancient cities in Europe. Along the way, we will visit Jvari, located on the rocky mountain peak.From there you will enjoy the view of Aragvi and Mtkvari river. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Shortly after, we will drive to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the second largest church in Georgia. On our way to the cathedral, we pass by souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants. Finally, we will return to Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay in Tbilisi
Breakfast
After breakfast in the hotel, we will start our tour by visiting Kazbegi in northeastern Georgia. Your first stop will be at Ananuri Complex, a former residence of the Aragvi Dukes dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The fortress beautifully overlooks the Zhinvali Dam, one of the main reservoirs of Georgia. Shortly, we will head to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers, Tetri Aragvi and Shavi Aragvi, that are famous for their white and black colors and they won’t mix even after merging. We will then make a stop at Gudauri Panorama, built in the late 19th century, is a circular balcony hanging off a 600-meter cliff with breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains.
Shortly after, we will arrive in Kazbegi town and drive up to Gergeti, which is located at an altitude of 2170 m above the sea level, under the bed of Mount Kazbegi (5047 m). The mountain is Georgia’s third highest peak. Here we will enjoy unique nature with beautiful panoramic views of the Caucasus. Finally, it is time to return to Tbilisi. After breakfast, drive to Kakheti - Georgia’s premier wine-producing area as well as home to hundreds of historical and architectural monuments. Visit the Bodbe Monastery, Immersed in the green forest, famous for the tomb of St. Nino. Then proceed to the Signagi – known as city of love, the town sits atop a bluff overlooking the Alazani Valley endowed with significant historic and cultural heritage sites. Its charming cobblestone streets and alleys, restored original nouveau woodwork, and detailed facades give the town a romantic mystique.
